Brian Crower BC0162 Stage 3 Camshafts Dodge SRT-4
Product Description
Brian Crower BC0162 Stage 3 Camshafts Dodge SRT-4
The Dodge SRT-4 was a turbocharged compact car introduced by DaimlerChrysler's Street and Racing Technology in-house tuner group (originally known as PVO)in 2003. The SRT-4 was designed for the racing and muscle car crowd. The SRT-4 differed from a regular Neon, the model on which it was based, in many ways. From the outside, the SRT-4's unique front fascia was immediately noticeable. It also featured a large rear wing and special 17x6 in wheels. Under the hood was a turbocharged version of the Neon's 2.4 L I4 engine. This first appeared in the United States in the 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser GT, but had been used in the Mexican-market Dodge Stratus/Chrysler Cirrus LXi sedan for a few years before this. The SRT-4 used a New Venture Gear T-850 5-speed manual transmission (pirated from the Graz-built turbodiesel minivan), equal-length half shafts, and a high-capacity Sachs performance clutch. Unfortunately these SRT-4 camshafts are not compatible with Dodge's new Caliber, which features variable valve timing.
Race Specification: Longer duration profile, added rpm potential. Intended for fully built engine. Tuning and ECU mods recommended. Requires kit BC0160.
